Position Overview
The successful candidate will take charge of managing and executing critical client objectives across multiple beauty and wellness accounts. This role encompasses developing impactful public relations strategies for product launches and special events, conducting strategic media outreach for editorial coverage across various timelines, and enhancing brand visibility through social media initiatives and influencer collaborations.
Working alongside internal teams and client partners, the Account Manager will ensure seamless coordination of key projects while simultaneously overseeing five to eight client accounts. The position requires meeting and surpassing communication objectives and lead generation targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute consistent media pitching efforts to secure comprehensive coverage for client brands
- Create exceptional internal and external communication materials, including writing, editing, and proofreading marketing content
- Craft engaging brand narratives and compelling storytelling approaches
- Manage client communication strategies, programs, special events, and marketing campaigns from conception to completion while maintaining budget compliance
- Partner with different agency departments to utilize comprehensive network expertise for client benefit
- Build meaningful relationships with prominent and emerging media professionals
- Establish and maintain connections with press representatives, industry experts, thought leaders, and beauty influencers
- Supervise junior staff members in reviewing client materials, summary reports, and media coverage
- Offer strategic guidance in partnership with senior account leadership
- Maintain office presence for a minimum of three days weekly
- Accommodate evening and weekend commitments for events and special projects as needed
Required Qualifications
Candidates must possess five to six years of public relations agency experience specifically within the beauty and wellness sector. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is preferred. The ideal applicant will demonstrate extensive knowledge of applicable brands, cultural trends, and market landscape, including current developments, industry dynamics, and media relationships.
Essential qualifications include a proven track record of securing meaningful media placements, strong networking capabilities with established connections to key influencers and industry leaders, and exceptional project management abilities focused on organization and strategic planning.
